The latest addition: DiRT 3
We have just installed DiRT 3 on all the gaming computers - and it looks like it'll be a hit.
Apart from the racing, either directly against each other or in time trials, DiRT 3 has some other gameplay modes that should work well on the LAN with a decent number of players:
Outbreak - a Zombie Infection style game mode! One player is "infected" and has to "infect" the other cars by colliding with them.
Transporter - capture the flag and drop it off at the marked point, trying to stop the other players from grabbing it off you. The player who delivers the most flags wins.
Invasion - destroy (drive into) as many red robot cardboard cutouts as possible, while being careful not to touch the blue cardboard skyscrapers.
Cat And Mouse - a team game, where one player on each team is the "mouse" driving a slow little Mini Cooper, and the objective is to get your mouse to finish before the other team's mouse. The rest of the team can give him protection from the other team's "cats", or can block the opponent's mouse, ram him off the track - do whatever you want to do to him!
We'll have some games of it this week and next with whoever is up for joining in.

Portal 2 ready to play!
Released early and available to play now on all our gaming PCs, the most anticipated game of the year - Portal 2!
Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following.
The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game.
The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

Bloodline Champions
The new arena-based PvP game is the latest game we've made available for play. It was installed a couple of weeks ago and has already proved a hit.
Bloodline Champions is a free-to-play online player vs. player arena game where players engage in short, intense battles of up to ten players divided into two teams. Each player must take control over one of several different bloodlines, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. Easy to learn, challenging to master - Bloodline Champions is just as much fun for the casual player as it is for the hardcore gamer.
Stunlock Studios, the developer of 'Bloodline Champions', have made it their number one goal to make the ultimate PvP arena game. That meant doing away with chance, random elements, target locking and critical hits. Here player skill and team play is the most important factor to win.
Different bloodlines in a set up complements each other, different maps and game modes need different tactics, and good teamwork is important. Spells travel towards where the player aim their mouse cursor, and can be avoided by enemy players, making every ability dependent on individual player skill. There is no mana and the cooldowns are short, ensuring that every match is full of intense, adrenaline-filled action.
