Castleblayney in County Monaghan, Ireland, previously held the record: 1,253 people dressed as Smurfs in the high street last year. Swansea has doubled the record!

Demigod is best described as a RPG/RTS hybrid, significantly influenced by the Warcraft III custom map Defense of the Ancients. The game's title refers to the powerful player characters that battle for supremacy over various zones. The game is multiplayer-oriented and competitive in nature.
The all father has vanished, creating an opening in the pantheon. To fill the void, Demigods from across from the mortal world must wage war against one another in a bid to ascend to true godhood. Demigod is a real-time, tactical strategy game that includes extensive role-playing elements. Choose from several Demigods, each poised for battle with their own unique capabilities and awe-inspiring powers. Vanquish other would-be gods as you gain levels, increase in power, unlock the power of mystic artifacts and slowly battle your way closer to joining the Pantheon.

As we mentioned last month, we've made a change to the way the Pwnage Points are allocated to stats winners at the end of each month. This way, every month the points will be won by those who have done the best that month, rather than potentially being won by long-time top players who haven't needed to keep playing to stay ahead.
The player holding overall first place wins 25 points. The players who have achieved the most skill points for just that month take some Pwnage Points as follows:
• First place for the month wins 30 Pwnage Points
• Second place for the month wins 20 Pwnage Points
• Third place for the month wins 10 Pwnage Points
The winners of the April stats competition are:
First place this month: Overlord Griffin - 30 points
Second place this month: Vasquez109 - 20 points
Third place this month: The Man - 10 points
and first place overall: Overlord Griffin - 25 points
Well done to all, especially Overlord Griffin, who takes a total of 55 points.

A few more new games just added this week: Assassin's Creed plus two mini-games, Bullet Candy and Raycatcher. We've also belatedly added the last expansion pack, Secret Weapons of World War 2, to Battlefield 1942.
Assassin's Creed is an action-adventure. The primary goal is to carry out a series of assassinations ordered by Al Mualim, the leader of the Assassins.
Bullet Candy is a fast-paced action-packed arena shooter. There are a variety of combo systems and many secret techniques that you can employ to get the best score and weapon upgrades possible. Viewed from a top-down perspective, Bullet Candy allows for a true 360° shoot-em-up experience. With all of your enemies in view at all times it's easy to see and, more importantly, shoot them into tiny little pieces.
Raycatcher is a sorting puzzle game, with beams of light falling from all directions with you rotating your device in the centre so the correct colour bulb ends up with the correct beam.

If you're reading this from inside Crossfire, simply click the icon on the right to launch the game and automatically connect to the Stats Server. |

• The Computers page now includes an up-to-the-minute display of who's here and what games they're running. You can easily check if someone's here so you'll know to come down here and pwn them. (If you don't want your name to show on the site when you're here, just let us know and we'll set your member record to "invisible" login.)
• The ice-cream freezer is back Magnums, Cornettos, Calippos, Soleros and the rest, all on sale to keep you cool while gaming.

The winners of the March stats competition are:
First place: Overlord Griffin - 30 points
Second place: The Man - 20 points
Third place: Mat1 - 10 points
and first place this month by a long way, with 3 times as many points as Drayvarco in second place: Overlord Griffin - 25 points
Well done to Overlord Griffin, who takes a total of 55 points.
Following general feedback, from next month the points setup will be swapped around. We will be awarding 25 points to the player in overall first place, and 30/20/10 points to the players in first/second/third place for the month. This way, every month the Pwnage Points will be won by those who have done the best that month, rather than potentially being won by long-time top players who haven't needed to play to stay ahead.

FIVE NEW GAMES are available for play now all our gaming PCs! The biggest one: Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, the first version of the popular Burnout console game series to be made available on PC.
Equipped with either a high powered car or motorbike you can leap from railway to motorway to walkway and back again... for extra style. What makes it even more enjoyable is when it all goes wrong. The camera cuts to close up and super slow motion to watch your car crumple in amazing detail. The world is littered with events (every junction), including straight races, stunt runs and the ubiquitous "road rage". During a race you are encouraged to be aggressive towards your fellow racer (road rage demands it) and when you knock them into a wall the camera cuts away to let you see it in all its slow motion glory. These events are required to advance, but you can do them when and where you like. Explore the local area first to familiarize yourself with local shortcuts and routes, then choose what to do in a "sandbox" style.
